When radioactive methanol (CH3OH) reacts with acetic acid, radioactive oxygen atoms marked with red color will not be observed in water. Radioactive marked oxygen will connect to the carbon atom from acetic acid and non-radioactive water will be observed. See the picture below.

Hence the ester methyl acetate was produced.
