Acceptance sampling is commonly used for quality assurance when only a sample of the complete manufacturing batch can be examined. Acceptance sampling uses random analyses to evaluate whether such a manufacturing batch of goods must be approved as well as discarded.
It has long been a popular method of quality monitoring in the enterprise. It is often completed after the goods leave the manufacturer, or in a few situations, within the production.
Generally, a manufacturer will supply the number of goods to a customer, as well as the option to approve or disapprove the products is determined by assessing the number of faulty goods in a sample from the batch. If the amount of faults is less than the acceptability level, the batch is approved; otherwise, the batch is denied.
