Spin both tubes in a microfuge for 2-5 minutes at high speed. Be sure to balance the microfuge by placing your tubes opposite one another.

Remove one molten GYEA tube from the water bath. Aseptically add \(100 \mu \mathrm{L}\) from dilution tube 1 , mix well, and pour into plate A. This plate contains \(10^{-2} \mathrm{~mL}\) original sample volume. Repeat the process using \(100 \mu \mathrm{L}\) from tubes 2 through 5 to plates B through E, respectively. Label the plates with the original sample volume. Label plate \(\mathrm{E}\) "control."

Obtain the bottle containing the sample, mix well and aseptically transfer \(1500 \mu \mathrm{L}\) of the suspended solution to dilution tube 1 . Remember- this is \(10^{-1}\).
